growing importance. Nevertheless, simulating intercausal
networks can be a very demanding task. cy.prus, a proposed
open source simulation environment for modelling
physiological systems based on SGML and XML, is intended to
address this problem by providing an open infrastructure for
cross-platform distributed simulation. The
purpose of the cy.prus project is to provide both a facility
for simulating life based on a human- and machine-readable
syntax and a graphical user interface for easily
constructing biological information processing
